Gregory Valcante, Ph.D
Dr. Greg Valcante is the Director of the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) and a Research Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.
He has served in this position since the CARD Centers were developed in 1994. As such he is dedicated to the Center’s mission of service to individuals with autism and related disabilities along with their families.
Dr. Valcante has worked as a teacher, administrator, and researcher in the field of autism for over 40 years including 32 years at UF.
He has authored a number of research publications and presented both nationally and internationally. Dr. Valcante has a B.S. in Biology, and an M.Ed. in Special Education, from The College of William and Mary and his Ph.D., from the University of Florida College of Education.
